I just finished uploading a new video of still images I’ve been shooting in the studio. Mainly to help people see the different shots we can shoot under one roof. Check it out you might see yourself in here.
We recently did a photo shoot for a General Electric Ad using glow in the dark fish. I’ve never heard of such
a animal but here they are.. and small. These guys are about a half of an inch long. Here are a few raw shots that were used to come up with the finished ad.
Just received the final shots of some food photography we had shot at the end of December. Jim Bacha - art director from Stevens - Baron Communications did a great job of taking my studio work from two different products we had shot and making them into very large colorful displays.
We’ll recently found out that Stata Productions was selected from as many as 24 photographers to be called upon to be one of three finalists to shoot a chosen product . The selected photographer will be awarded the opportunity to be the “dedicated” photographer for this Eastlake coin bank manufacturer. With the help of Jeff Slater’s graphic design company: http://www.fridgeartcreative.com Jeff was able to take several layers of my photography and combine them into a finished piece. We are currently waiting to hear the results of this shoot off. Here are a few samples.
Here is the finished piece we sent into for approval….
I just came up with all the images to show some of our toy product design and photography. With the help of fellow artist
http://www.davepotokar.com/ Dave Potokar we came up with some great designs for a local outdoor toy company’s line of kids toys. From sketch, to design, layout, photography http://www.stataproductions.com helped our client to get to the retail store shelves.
We were commissioned to shoot some controversal photography for a current magazine in the Cleveland - Akron area last month. The article was just published and here are a few samples of my work.
I had done some testing before this shoot. Coming up with some very grainy shots…. which you may have seen
on my facebook page…. I think it was a little to much and the final shots the artist used worked out well.
We’ve been shooting sporting goods products in the studio and in the field - sometimes very cold - lay on the ground to get the angle freezing cold. Of course if anyone knows me - waterfowl products shots are right up my alley…. or swamp
.
Whether we’re shooting decoys or attire or soft goods - it always gets interesting shooting over water.
It’s also nice to have the lighting control and temperature control to shoot in the studio - especially in the middle of winter.
I know - people always sterotype photographers into shooting beautiful girls for a living…. but sometimes we actually do. It was one very long day shooting 15 months for a local gun shop in Burton, Ohio… Ok if you know that much -then let’s say it’s The Girls of the Gunrunner Calendar - 2009/2010.
Instead of running all over the country side - “greater Cleveland, Ohio” we stuck to getting everything shot in the studio. I think it worked out great. We ended up working with two model agencies in Cleveland and Canton. I believe it will be a higher quality calendar in the long run.
I was able to set this scenarios to look like a bedroom scene… of course it’s in the middle of the graphic designer’s work area. Should have done a pull back.I think I was shooting coffee cups or something the next day… some days are diamonds - some days are ………..
